Matt is the Managing Director and Deputy Chief Investment Officer for the western US, overseeing the California, Pacific Northwest, Southwest, Rocky Mountain, Texas, and Midwest markets for Red Stone. Matt has over eighteen years of experience in real estate investment, finance, development, and LIHTC syndication. Prior to joining Red Stone, Matt operated as an executive for a Southern California-based affordable housing developer, contractor, and owner. Over his career, Matt has been responsible for the syndication of more than $2 billion of low-income housing tax credit equity and assisted in the creation or rehabilitation of over 8,000 units of housing across the country.

Matt received a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, with a concentration in Business and Economics from Saint Mary’s College of California. He graduated first in his class at the University of San Diego where he received a Master’s of Science in Real Estate Development and Finance. Matt also currently serves as a Board Member of the California Housing Consortium and actively participates in multiple local, regional, and national trade associations. Matt is a frequent speaker at affordable housing conferences and is actively involved in local, state, and federal public policy initiatives that promote the advancement of the affordable housing industry.
